Lochrin nursery, also known as the Tollcross early learning center was our second Edinburgh council building. The sensitive nature of the environment puts special constraints on our work. We had to take special care, especially during our cleaning and the hours that the work was completed.

  • A full renovation of the roof was undertaken including a re-felt, re-slate, and insulation of the loft.
  • A renovation of the bathroom was completed with new fittings, fixtures and units.

  • All original sash and case windows were refurbished, maintaining the original Edinburgh design while ensuring a weather tight seal with full new mastic works.
  • All rooms and windows received a fresh coat of paint reviving this tiring building.
  • Externally repairs to the buildings render along with new iron works at the gate.

A deep clean by us and a specialist completed the comprehensive refurbishment of the building ensuring the building is safe and fresh for the children to begin learning in again, and we are very happy with the result.
